Wear protective equipment – including a helmet, gloves, boots and appropriate clothing – whenever I ride my bike
Never ride my bike under the influence of alcohol or drugs
Ride within my limits, including adhering to the speed limits and adjusting my riding to the weather, road conditions and visibility
Perform pre-ride checks – such as fuel, oil and water levels, electrics and tyre tread depth – whenever I ride my bike
Be a courteous rider who respects other road users and does not ride in an aggressive or intimidating manner
Commit to maintaining and improving my riding skills, including undertaking further training and refreshing my knowledge of the Highway Code
