Streets Ahead is a scheme aimed directly at motorcyclists in Devon & Cornwall who want to be the best riders they can and learn from some of the best in the industry.
Streets Ahead offers bikers a free observed ride with an experienced motorcyclist from IAM RoadSmart, RoSPA or Devon & Cornwall Police.
This gives the rider an opportunity for advanced feedback on their riding and how it can be improved.
Motorcycle deaths and serious injuries are a particular concern in Devon & Cornwall. Between 2019 and 2021, 33 riders were killed (23.5% of all fatalities) and a further 566 were seriously injured (27.5% of all serious injuries).
Given that riders represent around 1% of road users overall, they are significantly overrepresented when it comes to injury – and we want to put a stop to that.
